Caroline discovered Pilates after struggling for years with back and neck pain. Relying on brute force and ignorance in physical activities she found that she was getting weaker by the day. Pilates has been the thing that has built her strength, energy and her passion for teaching comes from a genuine belief that everyone should have Pilates in their life! She initially trained in London with Body Control Pilates. She furthered her training to learn specialist Pilates equipment with Peak Pilates in Rotterdam. She is currently studying for a Diploma in Clinical Pilates with Breathe Education.
Sally, English and fluent in French, has been a qualified hatha yoga teacher since the early 90s. She fell in love with Pilates under the tutelage of Caroline. Sally is Peak Pilates mat trained and currently continuing further certification in Pilates Matwork & Reformer with Breathe Education.
Sally’s aim is to deliver what Joseph Pilates himself quoted: “Through the Pilates Method of Body Conditioning this unique trinity of a balanced body, mind and spirit can ever be attained. Self-confidence follows”.
The benefits of Pilates are far-reaching. Through the development and maintenance of the entire system of body, mind and spirit, practitioners of Pilates are able – both literally and figuratively – to walk taller. Sally aims to give her students a crafted lesson, adaptable to all and in the spirit of mutual respect and enjoyment. Sally also combines her yoga knowledge and Pilates into ‘Piloga’ lessons that embody the Pilates method of body conditioning in a mindful way combined with gentle yoga stretching exercises and some relaxation techniques.
